Advisory Board Member Dean, Faculty of Management Studies Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka Biography Prof. Athula Gnanapala is a Professor in Tourism Management attached to the Dept. of Tourism Management, Faculty of Management Studies, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Currently, he serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies. He obtained his first degree, B.Sc. Business Studies in Tourism Management from the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and the M.Sc. in Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Later he completed his Doctoral degree at the School of Business, Xiamen University, P.R. China. Prof. Gnanapala is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the South Asian Journal of Tourism and Hospitality and the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine "Udyama" Management Digest, published by the Faculty of Management Studies of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Further, he serves as a reviewer of nationally and internally recognized journals, tourism consultants, editorial members, scientific committee members for an international symposium, postgraduate and Ph.D. supervisor, etc. He is recognized as a Tier 04 Researcher in the University System as per the h-index and his work has been cited more than 500 times.
